Registration

Registration is open as of January 1, 2012.

How to Register

All Esprit participants must individually pre-register whether you are a regular paying attendee or couple, a scholarship hopeful, a scholarship awardee, or a presenter/resource. The online pre-registration (hosted at an SSL-secured page at cornbury.org, one of our sponsoring clubs) helps us collect essential information to process your information and does not obligate you to pay or attend.

If you are an attendee, follow these simple steps to register:

  1. Pre-register online. Once submitted, you will be emailed a form to print and mail with your payment and/or scholarship award voucher to complete your registration. Help buttons and additional information are available once the process is underway.
  2. If you are applying for a scholarship, you must pre-register first (step 1 above) in order to enable the scholarship application form. See the Scholarships page for more information.
  3. Arrange for your own lodging. Red Lion convention room rates are only available by directly contacting the hotel. See the Accommodations page for more informaiton.
  4. Arrange for your own travel.

If you are a resource and/or presenter:

  1. New participants should request consideration as a new Resource and/or Presenter by submitting a proposal to our coordinators.
  2. New and past participants should work with your Resource Coordinator at Resources@Espritconf.com or Presenter Coordinator at Presenters@Espritconf.com to formalize arrangements.
  3. Approved Resources or Presenters must then pre-register online.

Significant Other Special Rate

Esprit's Significant Others Program will continue to offer its special registration rate for couples as a continued incentive for Significant Others to attend what is considered by many to be the best program in the US. Rates are in in planning.

Note that attendance in the unique educational offerings of the SO program are typically limited only to genetic female partners of TG attendees. This is to ensure that the classes and counseling for SO's are as beneficial as possible for these attendees.

Payment and Deadlines

For maximum privacy and to minimize processing expenses, registrations are accepted only via mail and payment must be made by check or money order in US dollars made out to Esprit. Do NOT send cash. Space is limited to approximately 160 attendees and early registration is recommended. Full details on deadlines, refund schedule, and other details are provided during the online pre-registration process. Some highlights to note:

  • March 16, 2012: Deadline for request for full refund
  • April 6, 2012: 5% discount period ends (for prompt payment received within 10 days of pre-registration)
  • April 13, 2012: Deadline for request of 50% refund
  • May 4th, 2012: Deadline for receipt of all payments
  • May 13, 2012: Online registration closes

Accommodations

The registration fee does not include hotel accommodations. You must make your own housing arrangements at a hotel of your choice. The Red Lion is the choice of most attendees but less expensive hotels are available just a few blocks away. See the accommodations page for more details.

Meals and Services

Esprit provides the following meals for registered attendees:

  • Friday Fashion Show lunch
  • Friday Talent Show dinner
  • Saturday Awards lunch
  • Saturday Graduation dinner
  • Sunday Farewell brunch

As a registered attendee you will receive an attendee's photo badge, a yearbook, admission to all classes and events as defined on the schedule (note that some events such as the High Tea involve additional cost), meals as specified above, access to the clothing exchange, and access to all on-site resource providers. Additional food and drink, resource provider services and products, transportation, lodging, and other expenses not listed as included are not covered.

Big/Little Sister Program

The Big/Little Sister Program pairs up girls who are attending Esprit for the first time with more experienced individuals. If you are a first time attendee and would like a Big Sister or would like to be a Big Sister, contact the Big/Little Sister coordinator directly at BigSis@EspritConf.com for more information.

Scholarships

A limited number of partial and full scholarships are available based on need. Contact the Scholarship coordinator for more information.
