Dr. James Thomas, M.D.
My mission is to provide all patients with the highest quality voice care that the most discerning opera singer would expect. While both of my grandfathers watched the rise of the automobile as transportation culminate in a walk on the moon, I have watched punch card readers turn into the internet. Yet another technology and information explosion has occurred in the field of medicine. About 15 years ago I chose to specialize in the field of otolaryngology or ENT, (Ear, Nose & Throat Surgery). Later I began to notice that I couldn't keep up with all the advancements and decided to further subspecialize in laryngology - or just the throat part of ENT. This decision was made in spite of some mysterious, great push to mold specialists back into generalists during the 1990's. Walking to the beat of a different drummer, I set out on a course of study that brought me to the field of voice disorders, a very enjoyable medical speciality. James P. Thomas, M.D. Dr. Thomas teaches the following classes: Feminization Laryngoplasty - Changing Your Voice Dr. Thomas discusses how voice disorders are classified
and what surgical methods are available. He pays particular attention
to the unique needs of TG patients and voice feminization. |
