Melissa Batson

I graduated from the University of Oklahoma School of Law in 1988 and practiced in all state and federal courts in Oklahoma and Washington as well as in the Ninth and Tenth Circuit Courts of Appeal.

My practice was focused on litigation, with a specific interest in employment and civil rights.

Since leaving active practice in 2001, I have concentrated on the rights of transgenders and my own development as a trans-woman. I have been the editor for The Emerald City Newsletter since 2007.
